It’s already been a week since the Lady I rescued returned from Global Pet Expo in Orlando. She’s got so much to do since getting back, not to mention brands are already sending her products for us to show you. For now, we thought we’d just share some of the highlights, experiences and sights, that she saw over the three days. And give you a glimpse of what’s to come. Just a heads up, this is really long but it’s all pictures!
Hopefully the feeling of excitement you get just walking into the Orange County Convention Center will never end.
Looking right and left from the main aisle this is what the trade show floor looks like after entering. Check out the aisle numbers starting with 2300 and 2500, look how many more aisles there are.
The Lady actually met and got to sit down and interview Jackson Galaxy, the famous Cat Daddy from Animal Planet’s TV show “The Cat From Hell.” Completely unprepared, she winged her way through it but she never asked for a picture with him as she claims that she takes horrible pictures, ruining them. He did sign his new book for her!
Lots of licensed merchandise at Global this year, we’ll have more on this later. These are emoji licensed toys and products from BH Pet Gear.
Cat ladies dressed up to pass out brochures on their booth.
Even Grumpy Cat has his own merchandise. I wish our fat, lazy cat Rhette would do something to earn his keep.
Doggequins, who would have thought that?
First two-story booth seen at Global. The Lady did not go up as she was pretty sure this was for big money buyers to enjoy the view not a free-loader on a media pass.
At the end of all those aisles is the New Product Showcase. For the first time this year the media were allowed to vote for the best product in several categories. Lots more on this to come.
One of the Lady’s favorite booths, in fact she even included herself in the picture, accidentally. She has more fun looking at the booths and all the creativity that goes into them then the products. Almost.
A booth display that every pet parent gets. I’m going to have to look up the brand.
Pam Johnson-Bennett signed copies of her new book, CatWise, to kick off her cross-country cat café tour.
The Lady never saw the automatic flushing litter box before although it’s been on the market for awhile. Hopefully more to come on this too!
Celebrity dog trainer Brandon McMillan, host of the Emmy-award winning Lucky Dog show on CBS TV, debuted his dog training products from Petmate featured in his new book, Lucky Dog Lessons. The Lady waited too long to schedule an interview so she missed an opportunity to meet him.
No this isn’t Buckingham Palace, its the booth for Scruffs very nice dog beds. The Lady’s favorite booth by far.
Kurgo is one of our favorites, stay tuned for something really exciting from them!
A very eye-catching booth design, who can resist a Corgi on a scooter?
The “As seen on TV’s Shark Tank” caught the Lady’s eye here, but these amazing lady entrepreneurs said there were a few others. Hopefully I’ll get to bring you more on their Puppy Cakes!
No matter which way you were headed the golf cart was always going the opposite direction. The Lady still hasn’t taken a ride on it.
The Lady’s biggest highlight at Global was a tour of the Lucy Pet Products mobile spay/neuter clinic. Mainly because Lucy Pet Products founder Joey Herrick (and Natural Balance founder) provided the tour along with some great stories about the pet food industry.
The Lady also finally got to meet Lucy Pet’s mascot Surfin’ Jack only to find out Jack is a girl!
Cool Pup is a hint to what the Lady saw as one of the biggest trends at this year’s Global. Can you guess what it is?
Last but not least and by far the Lady’s favorite part of Global was hanging out with Oz the Terrier from The Great and Powerful Oz the Terrier blog.
We hoped you enjoyed the Lady’s favorite moments from Global Pet Expo. Remember we have a lot more information coming on many of the things we showed you.
