We’re back! After about a two week staycation the Lady I rescued is ready to return to my blog. June was such a busy month for us, she realized that certain things, like dust bunnies the size of me, needed her attention. But what happened during our staycation besides a clean house?
One of the highlights during our staycation for me was getting a new squeaky ball! Well, Taffy got a new ball first, from our public relations friend for Buster, so mom bought me one so that I wouldn’t steal hers and destroy it. Right away we started playing our, “I want the ball she has,” game. Chasing and stealing each other balls. Once we got tired of that we settled down. What happens next is well documented because the lady had her phone handy.
Taffy walks right up to me, lays down practically nose-to-nose, her new ball in her mouth.
I’m very happy squeaking my new ball so I just ignore her.
Taffy is not happy I’m still ignoring her, she starts eyeing my new squeaky ball, hers doesn’t squeak.
By now I’m distracted, what’s she up too? The Lady thinks Taffy wants to play with me. I’m not so sure . . .
She drops the ball, we both watch it roll away. Now the Lady thinks something historic is going to happen so she puts her phone on video. I’m still suspicious but the Lady is so excited thinking that we are playing together like sisters!
But it wasn’t historical at all, I keep teasing Taffy by squeaking my ball, Taffy walks away dejected because I didn’t fall for her plot to steal my ball. But, I’m going to watch my back closely!
The Lady is still convinced that Taffy and I are getting along better, especially when she caught us napping in identical positions, just like twin sisters!
What do you think, are we acting like sisters now, or does the Lady need more time off because she’s seeing things?
