Many pet product manufacturers make the claim that they produce tough dog toys, dog toys that are indestructible, hard to chew up and destroy within minutes of pet parents spending their money, then handing over the brand new toy into the jaws of an excited dog with a strong prey drive. Who then sets out to “kill” it by removing the stuffing and squeaker as quickly as possible. Well, that’s my M.O. anyway.
Worldwise is known for their stylish, sustainable products that fit a pet owner’s budget and lifestyle. Sugar Skullz are from their goDog™, “tough for fun” plush toy line for dogs of all sizes. We loved Sugar Skullz bright colors and whimsical Day of the Dead embroidered design.
goDog — Tough Plush Dog Toys
What is Chew Guard Technology? According to Worldwise, Chew Guard Technology is a “manufacturing process that adds a super tough, durable liner to soft plush toys. The Chew Guard™ lining was specifically engineered to withstand tough play. All seams are double-stitched and reinforced. Dogs are tough, but chew guard is tougher!”
The Lady I rescued and I agree with Worldwise, no toy is completely indestructible. According to her, she would just like to see a plush toy last longer than a few minutes. But Worldwise guarantees that their goDog toys are tougher and will last longer than the standard plush toy. Normally I can remove a squeaker with surgical precision in minutes leaving the toy looking untouched, so I put goDog to my toughest chew test.
It did not take me long to realize that this toy was no ordinary plush toy. After my initial excitement of a new toy, I first run around the house with it, teasing the Lady to chase me. Not to mention I had to play keep away from Taffy. After the first day the skull didn’t even have a thread loose. But I didn’t give up yet as most of my serious chewing I do in the evening.
After a few days with my new Sugar Skullz plush toy it’s still with me, even after a night of serious chewing. I tried all my techniques, chewing a small part with my back teeth, trying to rip it apart with my front teeth, nothing worked. The only accomplishment — fraying the braided trim — I made pretty good progress tearing that up. But I never punctured the toy or opened any seams. goDog Sugar Skullz are one tough dog toy!
The Lady cleaned off the frayed trim for my safety, now my Sugar Skull hardly shows any wear and tear. goDog Sugar Skullz tough plush dog toys get four paws up in our household. The Lady doesn’t mind paying a few extra dollars for a toy that lasts.
TrustyPup® — Tough Dog Toys for Your Pet’s Emotional, Instinctual & Physical Needs
TrustyPup® is another line of fun and tough dog toys from Worldwise. These durable dog toys also come with Chew Guard Technology and are backed by the Chew Guard Guarantee.
Designed with a CompleteNeeds® System for emotional, instinctual and physical needs of Comfort, Occupy Boredom, Exercise, Chew and Interaction. This system helps pet parents choose the right toys for their pet based on its needs.
I’m the chew dog in this family, TrustyPup will give me hours of satisfying chew time. Taffy played tug a lot growing up, tug is something new to me, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy some interactive play time with the Lady. Also, the style of the TrustyPup with the crinkly soft middle makes it lots of fun to toss and chase. TrustyPup durable and tough dog toys will always be a part of our family providing lots of interactive play, or just some quiet chewing time.
My annual holiday guide will be coming out soon where I’ll be featuring goDog and TrustyPup toys and holding a giveaway. So I hope you stick around to win a chance to try these tough dog toys out for yourselves! Until then goDog and TrustyPup dog toys are available at most large pet retail stores and online.
